Video Introduction here

Introducing the just released "Web Page in a Day!" Dreamweaver and Fireworks training CD (or download) with over 5 hours of training. The CD is recorded using the same informal method that users of the JoyceJEvans.com website love so much!

" I love your personal and informal style!"

The teaching method is one of teaching while the site is actually being designed and built. When something doesn't test correctly in a browser then you get to see how to troubleshoot it and what needs to be done. Although you rarely have to ever touch the code in Dreamweaver, you will still look at it frequently so you understand what is going on behind the scenes. This is the best way to be able to troubleshoot your own projects.

Learn how to build a website using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 (also works with versions MX and MX 2004) with Joyce Evans.

This Dreamweaver and Fireworks workshop is like having a personal tutor at your side. It is a movie-based tutorial training. It includes and all the exercise files needed to follow along at your own pace. This training is intended for the beginner or the existing Dreamweaver user who wants to learn how to build a website from start to finish. You’ll find hours of tips and techniques designed to help you build a flexible site design which you can use over and over again!

A brief overview of the content includes:

A quick introduction to Web Design which includes a discussion on client interviews, proposals and contracts. You’ll then move into Fireworks and a quick tour of the main areas you’ll be using. Learn how to using Fireworks as a client comping tool, common graphic tasks including popup menus, optimize, export your site. In Dreamweaver it starts with a tour then using the panels. You'll learn how to do a total CSS layout using no tables! Along the way you'll also learn how to solve some of the problems Internet Explorer has.  Once the featured design is done, I'll show you how to reuse the code and switch out images creating a totally different look...all with the same layout code.

The training uses Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 but it is still suitable for the MX versions. Some of the popup menu code is Fireworks 8 specific but the MX versions also have a version of the menus (not nearly as good however). The CSS panel has a lot of changes in Dreamweaver 8 but what is taught can be done in the MX versions as well.

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and start designing a website? Let’s do it together! The cost is only $74.90 for a download. NOW ONLY $39.90

First comments arrive for Web Page in a Day!

I enjoy your style of teaching, your tutorials are extremely informative, you didn't have to go through the browser bugs, but can you imagine our shock when they did happen and not knowing what to do! not knowing if it was something I did differently - I wouldn't of been aware of the IE bug.. thats why I reckon a follow up cd would be great, maybe a different layout with different bugs!!! (yeah easily said ) but i thoroughly enjoyed it and would be eager to learn more.

I think you are extremely thorough, I am a real nit picker, wanting to know why? and you always come up with the answer. Coding frightens me..
Your little tips are of great value, (move the cursor with the arrow key to get in & out of cells, arrow to move thing into position) most probably second nature to you but very helpful for beginners. Showing different ways of masking..Oh its just full of goodies...
Thanks again, and let me know if your up to tackling a new one!

I’m really enjoying the learning CD and have picked up a lot of tricks and information.
